Anita Patresya Damanik




As a dispute lawyer, Anita has actively advised and represented several domestic and foreign clients in some courts for both civil, criminal and employment cases. For instance, she represented a big foreign automotive company on the confiscation of large number of their cars by the Directorate General of Customs of Ministry of Finance of Republic of Indonesia. She also represented a foreign medical company on the case of allegation of malpractice and the closing down of their branches in Indonesia.


In employment area, Anita advised and represented several domestic and foreign clients on their employment dispute. She advised and assisted a big telecommunication company in Indonesia on their business relating outsourcing matters. Anita also assisted and advised several notable companies in Indonesia to obtain their permits for employing expatriates.  

To provide completed legal services and give a new perspective in the commercial dispute, Anita is also eager to have an in depth understanding of commercial matters by involving herself in a number of commercial transactions. For example, she assisted the issuance of shares of one of the largest Indonesia Islamic Banks, issuance and injection of paid up capital of a large group of foreign companies in Belgium. She is also involved in financing transaction of several notable companies in Indonesia. Anita also attended training on international trade held by the Indonesian Ministry of Trade.

To expand her knowledge and networking on business associations, Anita attended several workshops and seminars held by several associations, such as the Indonesian Employer Association (Asosiasi Pengusaha Indonesia) and Indonesian Netherlands Association Indonesian Benelux Chamber of Commerce (INA).


Anita is proud to become one of the awardees of Studeren in Nederland (StuNed) scholarship to pursue her Masters Degree. In her bachelor school, Anita was actively involved in some competitions.  She participated in national moot court competition held by Asian Law Students’ Association National Chapter Republic Indonesia at University of Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto and awarded as the Best Judge as well as managed her team as the 1st runner up. Anita also became the 2nd runner up on the national scientific paper competition held by Lembaga Kajian dan Keilmuan Faculty of Law University of Indonesia. She also obtained a scholarship from PT Sumitomo Indonesia.
